Your Future Speaks English. Do You?

Have you ever wondered why we learn English at school? Maybe some of you think, “Why do I need English? I live in Indonesia, and I speak Indonesian every day!” Well, that is a good question. But here is something interesting: English is more than just a subject at school. It is a skill that can open many doors in your life.

1. English Connects You to the World

English is one of the most widely used languages in the world. People from different countries use it to communicate, share ideas, and make friends. Imagine meeting someone from Japan, Germany, or Australia. English can help you have a conversation with them, even if you don't speak their language.

2. English Helps You Learn New Things

Do you enjoy watching YouTube videos, playing online games, or searching for information on the internet? A lot of interesting content is available in English. By understanding English, you can learn directly from international videos, websites, tutorials, and online courses. You don't have to wait for someone to translate everything for you!

3. English Is Important for Your Future Career

As vocational high school students, you are preparing for the world of work. Think about your future job. If you study Chemical Analysis, you may need to read laboratory instructions or understand chemical information in English. If you are an RPL or TKJ student, you will often find English in programming languages, software, computer manuals, and technology tutorials.

English can also help you write a good CV, answer job interview questions, and communicate with international clients.

4. You Don't Have to Be Perfect!

Here is the most important thing: you don't need perfect English to start communicating. Making mistakes is normal. Every time you learn a new word, try to speak, or write a simple sentence, you are making progress.

So, don't be afraid of English. Start with small steps. Learn five new words a day, listen to English songs, watch short videos, or practice simple conversations with your friends.

Remember: English is not just about getting good grades. It is about getting more opportunities. Start learning today, and let English take you further!
